Selected Accomplishments
Conceived of, designed and launched My Safe Child an e-learning child abuse prevention prototype in support of United Nationsl Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN-CRC) signatories including two national government partners, and three hospital and university partners globally.
Founded The Safe Child Project, an international nonprofit in child abuse prevention, growing alliances from seven pioneering partners to 100 partners in the first three years. Co-developed: a nationally broadcast TV family education program in Jordan and hospital Emergency Room policy and practice to advance child protection. Was the sole expatriate invited presenter at the first Saudi national child abuse prevention conference in Riyadh. Maintained mutually supportive professional development exchanges over decades.
Led contractual agreement to train 40 country nationals to assume management responsibilities from fifteen expatriate administrative and clinical department leaders in a 200-bed hospital in the Middle East.
At several U.S. universities provided management training for hundreds of mid- and senior-level engineers, hospital administrators; bank managers; and women’s micro-finance leaders from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. At the Djibouti Ministry of Health in East Africa and with Harvard University, provided management training (in French) for Medical Clinic Directors.
Revitalized a Study Abroad Center for a U.S. Land-Grant University increasing enrollment from 65 percent to 100 percent delivering promotional speeches to groups of up to 500 students.
